Delivery Information

All purchases made through the Homekit website attract free delivery within the main city centres of New Zealand.   Additional fees will be charged for deliveries outside this area, eg. Waiheke Island, Great Barrier Island, at a flat rate of $80.  Rates for Rural, Stewart Island, Pacific Islands & other International destinations will require a separate shipping quote.

 

Once we have received your payment and all the necessary delivery details, your order will be dispatched as soon as possible. Delivery is normally 3-5 working days for the North Island, 4-8 working days for the South Island, although it can take a day or two longer for some rural areas. Delivery may be delayed if you are not available to accept it.

 

IF YOUR ORDER IS URGENT PLEASE CONTACT US WITH YOUR REFERENCE/INVOICE NUMBER AND WE WILL DISPATCH ASAP!

 

If you have ordered more than one product, they might arrive on different days. Larger items are sent by road freight and will include the telephone number you provided so the driver can contact you to arrange a suitable time. Smaller items are sent by courier, who should leave a card for you if you're not at home when they call. If the driver cannot contact you for any reason, your delivery could be delayed.

 

Goods are very carefully packed to minimise the possibility of damage. However, once they leave the warehouse they are out of our control. When the delivery company arrive, they will ask you to sign a docket confirming that you received the goods in good condition. Please be sure to follow the following procedure when receiving the items:

 

1.    CHECK THE PACKAGING FOR DAMAGE.

2.    IF POSSIBLE, OPEN THE PACKAGING TO INSPECT THE CONTENTS.

3.    IF YOU CANNOT FOR ANY REASON INSPECT THE CONTENTS, SIGN FOR AS ‘NOT CHECKED’!

4.    IF THE PACKAGING IS DAMAGED, SIGN AS ‘PACKAGING DAMAGED’!

5.    IF YOU SUSPECT THAT THE CONTENTS ARE DAMAGED, EITHER OPEN THE PACKAGE STRAIGHT AWAY TO CHECK OR REFUSE TO ACCEPT THE PACKAGE AND RETURN IT.

 

PLEASE DO NOT SIGN FOR THE GOODS AS RECEIVED IN GOOD CONDITION UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE OF THIS!

 

IN ANY EVENT, CHECK THE CONTENTS OF THE PACKAGING WITHIN 72 HOURS OF RECEIPT AND NOTIFY US OF ANY HIDDEN DAMAGE IMMEDIATELY. Please also provide photographs of the damage to the item and also, if applicable, to the packaging. Thank you.

 

Please be aware that if you do not follow this procedure, we may not be able to replace goods that are later reported as damaged.
